Jun18Doesn’t the picture frame look nice today.

Get Firefox

Big news yesterday! It’s that time again. A new web browser, free to download, available to all.
Yesterday saw the release of Firefox 3 - the new web browser from Mozilla. It looks nice, and on first impressions it seems to be fast, secure, and with some nice new features.

So what does that mean for you - the website owner. Well, it is a nice new tool for you, and maybe even your users if they are allowed to upgrade their browser. It probably loads your website quicker, and maybe even makes it look a little sharper. (On the other hand, your old site may look worse in FF3 and the forthcoming IE8, in which case speak to us about enhancing and future proofing your site!)
On the whole though, and despite the torrent of marketing for the latest Mozilla browser, it’s a nicer picture frame, but it is what’s inside the frame, the real content, that is still the most important part of your online marketing. A new browser won’t mean better responses, more signups, or even more sales.

That’s the clever bit - and that’s still up to you.

Jun04There’s smoke coming out of…

…. everything!

The best way to explain the just-passed month of May for OC Vision is BUSY!

Here’s our potted timeline of the key points that have made our servers, and our team smoke - thats a lot of burning brainpower.

May06The Sun is shining in Plymouth

Some of the OC Team are currently in Plymouth for The Artemis Transat 2008.

The OC Vision team have all one way or another worked on the build up of the event over the last few months, being responsible for the design and production of the flags, banners, official race magazine, development of the website, in-house media accreditation software and Media Server plus providing key infrastructure support for all voice and data comms with communications sponsor BT.

Stay tuned for more information/pictures of the venue over the next few days!!

Apr25Come on you Saints….

The OC Vision team all attended the football on Saturday! Southampton v Burley…Despite the rain the gang made it out in force to watch Southampton at their home ground.

Apr01Same place, different engine.

We’re pleased to have upgraded our own blog to the newley released Wordpress 2.5. There’s a great number of improvements, and so far (1 post!) it’s looking really good.

The biggest change with this new release is a complete overhaul of the user interface, with a great new design from Zeldman, Santa-Maria et al at Happy Cog Studios. It looks and feels great and I am sure will lead changes in site designs across the blog-o-verse (new word?)

Keep watching….. More blogs to upgrade!
